The following assholes are responsible for this contemptible piece of shit: Mr. MCCAIN, Mr. LIEBERMAN, Mr. INHOFE, Mr. BROWN(MA), Mr. WICKER, Mr. CHAMBLISS, Mr. LEMIEUX, Mr. SESSIONS, and Mr. VITTER (withdrawn)
Essentially this gives the government carte blanche in arresting those it sees as a "threat" to national security. How they determine that threat is rather arbitrary. Per Sec. 3.d.2 :
(2) CRITERIA FOR DESIGNATION OF INDIVIDUALS AS HIGH-VALUE DETAINEES- The regulations required by this subsection shall include criteria for designating an individual as a high-value detainee based on the following:
(A) The potential threat the individual poses for an attack on civilians or civilian facilities within the United States or upon United States citizens or United States civilian facilities abroad at the time of capture or when coming under the custody or control of the United States.
(B) The potential threat the individual poses to United States military personnel or United States military facilities at the time of capture or when coming under the custody or control of the United States.
(C) The potential intelligence value of the individual.
(D) Membership in al Qaeda or in a terrorist group affiliated with al Qaeda.
(E) Such other matters as the President considers appropriate.
Basically if you piss of the government enough this bill would give them the power to detain your ass nearly indefinitely. I don't feel like posting this proposal piece by piece but there are no provisions for evidence necessary to evince such a reaction, so you can imagine the loose terms that will frame that argument all under the auspices of "national security". Additionally they make provisions to separate people categorized as unprivileged enemy belligerents from those categorized as privileged enemy belligerents who are protected as prisoners of war by the Geneva Convention (Sec. 6.8,9).
You would think a former POW such as McCain would stand vehemently against this kind of shit, but alas he is just another douchebag with a Napoleon complex who wants ultimate power.

No Healthcare, we keep YOUR money

Individuals who don't purchase health insurance may lose their tax refunds according to IRS Commissioner Doug Shulman. After acknowledging the recently passed health-care bill limits the agency's options for enforcing the individual mandate, Shulman told reporters that the most likely way to penalize individuals that don't comply is by reducing or confiscating their tax refunds.
Speaking at the National Press Club on Monday, Shulman downplayed the IRS's role in enforcing the recent overhaul of the health insurance industry by claiming the agency would not aggressively target individuals who don't purchase coverage. He noted that the health-care bill expressly forbids the agency from freezing bank accounts, seizing assets or pursuing criminal charges, but when pressed said the IRS would most likely use tax refund offsets to penalize those that don't comply with the mandate. The IRS uses refund offsets to collect from individuals that owe the federal government a delinquent debt. [emphasis added]
So if we don't purchase a product from a private company then we are forced to surrender our incomes to the government? That's not at all fascism dictated by a private entity. This whole plan is fucked from so many different angles I don't even know where to begin picking it apart. "Health care reform" was never about health care and never about reform; it's been about acquisition of power from day one. Why else would the government leverage your income tax refund (the income tax being a whole other ball of failures) in order to FORCE you to buy a private product? If someone can point out anywhere in the Constitution that government is given the authority to mandate the purchase of certain private goods then I will send you a dollar.

Test Run
So I have apparently managed to set up a blog of my own. Big fucking achievement. I wonder if this blog will manage to enrage, offend, or otherwise make anyone laugh. Who cares. It's my internet soapbox and I'll say what I like.
